hey everybody. i'm new here and this is my first post so please be kind, hehe.
this topic is pretty interesting because this is actually what led me to find this message board. the people are as interesting as well so i'm sure i'll find some helpful info here.
i had been a bidshot member for a few years now but have been only active recently. i find the service very fun and convenient. as most of us, i have been trying to maintain a clean sheet kasi aside from the fact that it is a good indicator for possible outcomes of transactions, its also pretty cool to see the numbers beside your username increasing in time.
recently, i have had some unpleasant experiences at bidshot. i actually emailed customer service to complain about an unjust negative comment left for me (my first). the buyer gave me the impression that she was going to buy my item but turned out a dud. so i left a negative feedback for her(S3venthHell at the site knowing that she could not leave one for me (i got misinformed by bidshot911 at ym on this one). then after a few days i saw that she got to leave a negative feedback for me. and this morning i saw that i have another one from another bogus buyer. its funny because this guy's (machine_gone) negative comment for me was 'the item is not good' but he actually didnt even bother to check out the item. never called, emailed or even send me an sms. hay naku, nakakasama lang talaga ng loob specially when you're trying to keep a clean record.
anyways, i'm sure everyone has heard of the same story. sayang lang kasi i've been enjoying the service until these bogus bidders stepped in. oh well..
carpe diem!

Hi Edward, First of all, welcome to the forum I have the same experienced before, but you can email the customer support to ammend the feedbacks that this bogus users have given you. I think the person who gave you such negative feedbacks are the same dahil gumaganti lang dahil nagbigay ka ng negative feedbacks. Much better if you can show proofs in customer support that these persons are BOGUS. My few cents, hoping that customer support in Bidshot will remove the negative in your name. Regards, Joey =)

Yes Edward, Joey is right and same experience with me too. email customersupport@bidshot.com and they would be more than willing to assist you. Give them the details of your transaction with the two bogus bidders and if the case warrants the negative feedbacks be stricken off from your name they would immediately inform you.

hey guys. thanks for the warm welcome.
actually, i did send an email to customer service regarding this issue a few days back. unfortunately my request was denied.
if you guys don't mind, i pasted below my email and bidshot's reply on the issue. i tried to be as objective as i could be but i do not really know if my explanation was worthy of any merit from the service so your comments are very much welcome. as it turns out, bidshot doesn't think so. read on:

To whom it may concern: I am Edward V. Perlas, an account holder at Bidshot with username 'erotomania' and user id#*****. I have been a Bidshot account holder for quite some time but had been only active with its services in the past few months. For an active person such as me, I find it as a very convenient medium in buying and disposing items as opposed to other types of local services found in and out of the web.
In my observation at Bidshot, a list of positive or negative feedbacks has been a very good determinant in choosing which account users to deal with. And I, for one, have been trying to keep a clean sheet for myself to ensure future bidders on my items will have confidence on considering transactions with me.
It is for this reason that I would like to bring to your attention an unjust negative feedback posted against me at the Bidshot website. On August 31, 2002, I had posted an item for auction, Item # 1030004587 THE CURE Mixed Up (ORIG CD), to run for 10 days. On September 9, 2002, a bidder by the name of Jennifer Andres, with the username 'S3venthHell' bought the said item through the site's buy now feature. The buyer contacted me once through e-mail without leaving any other contact info other than her e-mail address. Despite my repeated attempts to contact the said buyer via e-mail, I could not get her to reply. Because of this, I sought the help of Bidshot911 at Yahoo Messenger. The service gave me the buyer's mobile number to help with the transaction. The buyer finally replied via sms and I finally got to speak with the buyer on the telephone. As we proceeded with our conversation, Ms. Andres insinuated that she did not want to pick up the item at my specified place despite the fact that it was clearly indicated on my post that 'the winning bidder must pick up item at Ortigas Ave Ext in Rosario, Pasig'. Since I learned that Ms. Andres is still in school and lived a bit far from where I was, I bargained by agreeing to meet her at a place and time most convenient to her so we could proceed with the transaction. Since the item is a cd, I even asked her if she wanted to test it first to see if she would like it and if she did not, guaranteed to keep nothing against her. She replied on this by saying that she collects those genres of cds so it didn't matter whether it was up to her standards or not. She asked for a week's time for her to schedule our meeting. Despite my hesitations, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. More than a week had passed without any reply from Ms. Andres so I decided to send her an sms to check on whether she has already decided. She replied by saying that she had already bought another item was not anymore interested in purchasing mine. She even added on by advising me to just repost my item at the Bidshot website.
Because of this unpleasant experience, I made it a point to leave a negative feedback for her at the Bidshot website to warn other users as I did with other dealers who did not honor bids they made at the website on the understanding that a user given negative feedback to can only leave a comment on the negative feedback given to him/her (as per information relayed to me by Bidshot911 via Yahoo Messenger). To my dismay, I found this afternoon that Ms. Andres had left a negative feedback for me at the Bidshot website on September 25, 2000. I find it very insulting and a complete waste of effort on my part to keep a clean record at your service. Note that past Bidshot users I had made transactions with describe me as honest and professional and our transactions as fast and smooth. I find that there must have been some kind of error that she was able to post a negative feedback against me instead of a comment on the negative feedback I made against her.
It is in this regard that I would like to request the concerned to kindly remove the said negative feedback from your website for reasons that it was unfair and unjustifiable. I trust that this be done the soonest.
For any queries or clarifications on this issue, I can be reached at my office at 641**** or though my mobile 0917-794****.
Thank you and more power.
Edward V. Perlas

(sorry peeps, i had to cut my post in 2, di pala pede more than 5k charachters)
to continue, bidshot replied with this:
Hi Edward,
Good Afternoon!
Thank you for informing us. First of all we understand your sentiments with regards to your complaint. We would like to inform you that it is BidShot's policy to remain impartial to all of its users and besides BidShot has no participation or what so ever on how the transaction transpired there fore we can not judge or decide who is right from wrong. May we just advise you to kindly leave a comment on the feedback given to you by user 'S3venthHell' so that you can justify your side of the story. You do not have to worry with regards to the negative on your part the positive feedbacks will compensate them and would be basis enough for comparison in determining the user's credibility. We will be also monitoring user 'S3venthHell' with regards to his transaction and will impose sanctions necessary once he have accumulate three negative feedbacks. We do hope that this circumstance won't discourage you from posting and bidding here in BidShot Please feel free to write us, we are more than willing to assist you anytime.
Thank you and have a pleasant day!

Ugh...just saw my first negative feedback today, and I'm SO upset. Bottomline: The guy who used Buy Now for my item didn't push through with the purchase, and his negative feedback for me was all cursing -- even calling me by the wrong name! The Details: I posted a "Gameboy Color + Orig Games", which had a detailed description of pickup/payment/shipment arrangements I accept. One such arrangement is that if the buyer can't pick up the item from the mentioned locations, I can ship the item after a confirmed bank deposit payment. I have done this as a buyer and have had no problems. This guy uses Buy Now on my item, says he can't pick it up at my specified locations, then insists that I ship the item before he pays. He always delayed replying to texts/email, and whenever he did text me, he was asking if I sent the package already -- knowing full well that I was waiting for a confirmation that he has deposited the payment to my account. For the times I'd wait for the deposit, he'd say his car was grounded/coded for the day OR the bank was closed OR the ATM wasn't working. And this whole time, he's still telling me to send the package already. The whole thing ends with him emailing me, a little over a week after the auction ended, that his bag was stolen and, thus, no longer has the cash to buy my item. I doubted his excuse, but gave him the benefit of the doubt -- neutral feedback. Now he leaves negative feedback for me, saying nothing constructive and calling me by the wrong name. I already emailed Bidshot customer support about this. I hope they can do something about it. Nakakawalang-gana tuloy.

That's indeed the irony with other people in Bidshot. You give your best in dealing with this kind of people but in the end it is you who will be treated badly - with a negative feedback at that!!!
Just make it a lesson for you. And hopefully, Bidshot people can remove the negative feedback.

Oh, well. Consulted Bidshot rep, and they can't do anything about my feedback. The only thing they could do for me was change the feedback I left for him from neutral to negative.

Add the guy to your BLACKLIST to block him from bidding on your items and leaving questions or post messages on your message board.
