Hello Bidshooters! Would be nice to know what you guys collect? Also, maybe others would have what's missing in your collection and you could strike a deal. I started collecting stamps and coins (maybe most of us got started this way and the collecting went into several directions  ). Went into model tanks and airplanes. Then Starwars and The Simpsons action figures. But my passion really is antiques. Elephant figurines, depression glassware, bottles, electric fans, books, radios, furnitures, orientalia, tabernacles and militaria. I even buy old wood. For me antiques serves two purpose; nostalgia and investment. You get a feel of what it was like during the Spanish era when you get to sit in a friar's chair on a hot afternoon with a 1950s GE Electric fan cooling you off. Havent started appraising their value but maybe worth triple ten years from now ;D Come on, we want to know what drives your collecting urges! Madami-dami rin: Just this January 2002 - nabuhay ulit ang spirit ko sa pangongolekta ng action figures: especially the anime ones and McFarlane toys. And to think nabenta ko yung iba sa eauctions dati. Graphic art books, graphic novels, art of blah-blah... I love collecting Art of Disney books - I have the Art of LionKing up to Monsters Inc. Also the Art Of Starwars books, since I'm a graphic artist, I'm also fond of books na may brochures and advertising stuff. I also have books like Art of Frazetta, Brom, Magic The Gathering, I have a lot of rare and hard to find graphic novels like: Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Child, Slaine by Bisley... dami... kaya nga I'm disposing most of my comics to give way to these books. I also collect Happy Meal toys and Burger King ones, kaya lang, since malapit na kaming magsama ng girlfriend ko who also collects those (para walang duplicate) - I'm disposing them na. R1 DVD's then, pero select titles lang... preferably Anime. Right now, I'm thinking of buying some R1 DVDs from bidshot seller animeworld (kahit HongKong pirated) - kaya lang di ko alam kung DVD-R copies binebenta niya... Joeyrodil... baka naman may Anime DVDs ka Heavy Metal Magazine - I usually hunt mine in the back issue bins, so far, I never missed an issue from 1998 onwards. |

I was then into philately, primarily first-day commemorative covers, special issue and mint unused postage stamps on SPACE EXPLORATION and ASTRONOMY. Complementing my interest was my collection of magazines, newspaper clippings, info booklets on the U.S. space program from the USIS. Then Photography as a hobby beaconed. Taking pictures on the side, I started collecting cameras (MINOLTA and NIKONS) from 135 SLRs, 120 TLRs,110s, Subminiatures/spy cameras aside from a few more expensive ones like LEICA screw mount and M series rangefinders, MINOLTA series M rangefinders and the venerable HASSELBLAD 120 SLRs. I also have a line up of the more expensive camera lenses and accessories and a specially crafted crystal Hasselblad which I really treasure. Complementing too my interest are Photography books, magazines and special collectors edition issues of MINOLTA MIRROR annual magazine of photography from 1976 (I missed 1975-1st issue)to 1993 (last issue - subsequent issues discontinued unfortunately). Currently I'm into collecting different types and brands of webcams, PC cameras,etc. when I became interested with computers and internet. I actually love to try out and compare the different characteristics and features of the cams I could get my hands on. CDRoms on different themes be it references, games, softwares and adult interactives as long as accessible on my PC also became part of my collection. MP3s and Audio CDs mostly '60s 70's and 80's formed part of my collection too plus a few of the current pop songs. Instrumentals I have preference too. DVDs R1s too are my cup of tea nowadays. I'm more into collecting Documentary series on Space Exploration and Astronomy , a few Sci-Fi , Action and Suspense, Adult movie stuff. Before DVD's I got a complete collection of movie greats be it James Bond thrillers, Superman,Batman,'Aliens, etc..aside from other titles I got. VHS tapes be it on movies, docus formed part of my collection too. Latest craze are Star Wars action figures, books and other stuff. Never did I realize that collecting these were really addictive! Had it not for rei and degs..wouldn't have gone into this ;D OH MY!! THAT'S LIFE and to the other guys HAPPY COLLECTING! ;D there goes my hard-earned monthlys  |

I collect stamps since elementary pako, kaya medyo marami narin ang naipon ko. - JOLENS baka gusto m swap tayo pag may doble ka - kung okey lang. Mga bago kong stamps palit sa old stamps mo ;D para lugi ka! hi! hi! Di ako mka pag-swap kay beeper kasi feel ko hindi na niya ako kilala although nagkita kmi, unlike tayo na hindi talaga tayo nagkita. pero mas may communication tayo kesa kanya. SYEMPRE KUYA KITA E!
Isa pa yung gold coin ko, I don't collect coins bt since mahal ang bili ko dito. PINAKATAGO-TAGO KO TALAGA ITO. Baka may gustong magbenta sa akin ng GOLD COINS pwede rin ;D
