Have any of you ever noticed what things are selling on bidshot??? Its such a pity that the internet has become a venue for the black/underground market. While people around the world, like me, are exerting extreme effort to preserve the environment, some people have made online auctions into a lucrative market. I just keep thinking of the words I occassionally hear on the television, specifically of conservation advertisments, "When the buying stops, the killing stops." There may be no killing, but if this goes on, there will be. By removing animals from their natural habitats, ecosystems are affected. The food chain gets screwed up. So what HAVE I seen on Bidshot that upsets me? Sales of animals, that are rare, and non indegenous to the Philippines. And some sellers, even proudly advertise "RARE" on the descriptions and headings. Some animals are illegal to sell, let alone own. Wild animals deserve to be free. I hope I can find help and support on this matter. I will be contacting Bidshot soon, and seek their help to remove the auctions of wild animals. I hope I have offended no one, I know people just want to make some money, but it should be done the right way, and not at the expense of another, in this case, an animal that has the right to be free.

I can only symphatize with "exposed" about this unfortunate things. But this is reality and we have to deal with this in Bidshot. This is the result of free trade and open market.
In reality, here in Bidshot - if we analyze and look closer, there are many items that shouldn't be sold here either (morally or otherwise). But it's futile, because there is market. As one nature/anima advocate advertisement said - "if we stop the buying, the killing will" (words to that effect).
See the items below:
- smuggled celllphones (which passes as brand new thus depriving the much needed taxes for the government) - magazines that contains sexually provocative and totally revealing models (sometimes with the attached photo of the magazine). - pirated DVD's, VCD's, CD's (again, taxes for the government or royalty to the singers) - X-rated videos (either VCD or DVD, morally wrong to sell openly)
The abovementioned items are some of the flagrant commodity that I can think off, which in reality, shouldn't be sold in Bidshot. BUT (all capitals!!!), since there are buyers, the market will grown.
So "exposed", thank you for your concern. I know that your cause is highly commendable.
