I'm sure you've dealt with people before na - you ended an auction just for him because he met your price, then at the last second - may sisingit who will outbid him and eventually win the item. This is my dilemma, something like this happened to me before: the case of this item: Wildcats# 25, Avengers - 9 comic (click me)Clearly, mikeph won the item, but when I closed the auction I added a note that it was already sold to freckles. Having dealt with mike before, it was an easy fix - and I got away scott-free. This is my big problem - I recently closed an item where the same thing happened, only this time, you get the details in the messageboards: This one is between cool_stuff(27) and newcomer nel_e (2)Cygor 1 Pack (click me)Clearly, in this auction - nel_e won the item via the last minute - but the reason I closed this deal was the "nice" amount cool_stuff offered... so who do I award this item to... nel or cool_stuff? I talked to them both and they are serious about getting this item... ready naman ako to dispose this anytime (I even placed a buy now for P400 reply in the message board through text) - could'nt keep track of the item because I was busy last week due to my trip and things to finish before my trip ('di ko rin na-meet si Beeper although we were supposed to meet before I leave). Actually nagulat na lang ako when I was closing the item - nasa P500+ na pala yung latest bid and nel_e has the winning bid - so I just told cool_stuff to place P800 because I'm pretty sure di na hihirit si Nels (I was thinking overpriced na ito somehow for him). By the way - cool_stuff is planning to package the cygor with the lot of villains he won for P1,000 - agree naman ako, kasi this is easier for me, one guy to deal with - di na ako pupunta pa kung saan saan. I was just surprised in the morning when I received my text saying that nel_e won the item by P810. Like I said... I talked to both guys... Cool_Stuff was pretty disappointed because we were supposed to meet the following day (Monday, June 3) - for item pick-up, pero I have to clear up with Nel if he's serious about getting this item. So I called Nel and heard his side of the story... talagang inabangan niya yung item 'til the last drop, para 'di na siya ma-outbid. He can't even believe that the bidding went a long jump from 500+ to 800 - but determined to win this item he outbidded by 810. As a guy who's making ipon for his incoming marriage and move into an apartment - the extra 300 bucks sounds ok. I have to give credit to Nel because he really wants the item and guarded it in the last minute. This auction was supposed to end June 6 - but I ended it early for Cool_stuff who placed a bid of P800. He also wants to get this item and sinabi niya na tatapatan na niya ng P820 yung P810 ni Nel - hay, confusing, he even suggested that I re-open the bid exclusively for the two of them and have a one day bid-off on who will win the item. If you'd ask me, I'd like to reward this one to Nel_e... pero guys, I still need your input about this... maybe we need a vote on who deserves the item or what to do... ...and to think that the starting price for this item was just P350 - with no reserve!!! Tagal ko na itong na-post pero ngayon lang may nag-bid at maramihan pa... ...mga mahilig kasi sa last minute bidding... ;D

the best thing to do is to ban the other bidder kapag napagusapan mo na i sell and end it early that way d na sya makakapagbid sa item na un, kc if he bidded on it in the past, he will receive a sms notification na it will end soon and on what time (that explains the last minute bid) hope this helps

Hey Rei, Well .. you have no other choice but to give the item to the highest bidder ..... binding kasi yan ... and as you've said ... serious naman talaga yung tao .. he even make bantay ... for no one to bid na ... if im at your situation ... give ko sa 2nd guy ... coz he's the winning bidder .... Well i send you a private message (click me) .. check it out ... (tip sa mga ganyang Ending the Auction Early) ...woody ;D

Technically Woodie is right, you have to award the item to the highest bidder, and nel_e who is a serious buyer who even waited for the last minute to win on your item deserves it. I already met Nel and he is really a serious buyer IMHO, Joey ;D

tip sa mga ganyang Ending the Auction EarlySuggestion lang woods, baka you want to post THE TIPS for other members who could use this advice? ** what i usually do is edit the auction title so that it reads: ITEM (SOLD! DO NOT BID!!)syempre they can still bid, but at least i made it clear to others. ** okay din yung suggestion to ban a certain bidder pero its not fullproof din, kasi there are people who do not bid till the last second (i've done it myself ;D)

DO NOT BID!!)syempre they can still bid, but at least i made it clear to others. ** okay din yung suggestion to ban a certain bidder pero its not fullproof din, kasi there are people who do not bid till the last second (i've done it myself ;D) Ur right,Joel! that's what I usually request the seller to do though sometimes you cannot blame the seller if he or she is reluctant 'coz the higher yung price of item for sale ok lalo sa kanya. I've experienced this situation a lot of times na when the seller closed early the auction but when I requested that title or notation be made I was told that the other bidder had mentioned that too so I just agreed with the seller that it would be better to leave it as such until the end of 5 hours and just wait for the outcome- "may the best man win!" So if you are really interested you'll go all out for it. But if particular item was edited to indicate SOLD NA! or BEEPER'S SO and SO DVD TITLE then it is but proper for us to leave it as such 'coz CLOSE NA TALAGA ANG AUCTION for the particular item and presumed that there was a meeting of the minds between buyer and seller. I don't agree tho that the last minute bidder should be banned as there's nothing wrong with being a last minute bidder which I have also done as Bidshot notifies bidders who have previously bidded to bid for the item as auction would close within 5 hours. But personally when I see a notation na SOLD NA or SOMEBODY'S ...ITEM then I would honor that as is and won't jump the gun coz I feel it would be improper or unethical to do so. Now the ticklish question which comes to my mind is this. WOULD IT BE PROPER FOR BIDSHOT MEMBERS WHO HAVE NOT PLACED THEIR BID ON A PARTICULAR ITEM SINCE THE START OF AUCTION DATE ENTITLED TO MAKE A LAST-MINUTE BID WHEN THE SELLER CLOSES EARLIER THE AUCTION? For all we know items for auction which would end in 5 hours are prominently noted in red on description. Perhaps Bidshot's Shotgun could settle this once and for all.

Yeah... kasalanan ko nga rin dude... I ignored that little detail. Should have placed a buy now option for cool_stuff para automatically, kanya... Well,Rei. As I have mentioned previously, cool_stuff can still go for it at last minute 'coz wala rin buy now or nakapost na SOLD TO nel_e. or vice-versa. I checked out the bid history and both have shown their interest so it would be a matter of whoever wins at last minute pagdating ng deadline of 5 hours unless of course nakapost na SOLD NA to whoever you would sell to.

;D - correct ka as always Albert, I have made an error in my part too, I should have indicated na it's sold already (like the first sample I did) - it's just that I'm doing a lot of things at that moment and hindi ako makapag-add gaano ng info - I can just stop the auction, pero you are right, I should have indicated na there is already a meeting of minds...
As for who it should go to... Nel deserves the item (like many of you said in their messages) - there is nothing wrong with last minute bidding if someone really wants that item - besides, Nel has also picked up another one of my item (last minute din). I also had my share of last minute bids in other auction sites, if I want to get the item cheap - tutukan until the last drop.
Besides - it is Nel who has the power to give me the negative feedback kung hindi ako tumupad sa usapan - but since cool_stuff also won another item of mine - he could give me a negative or neutral feedback on that item for not going through with the cygor deal... haaay... di pa naman katapusan ng mundo kung mangyari yun... as if life depended on it.
I wonder what shotgun has to say...

I wonder what shotgun has to say... Hi Reinardian, I hope i could help you on this. I think cool_stuff will understand you in this situation, he know the rules in BIDSHOT, unprofessional naman cguro sya kung bigyan ka ng negative feedback on the item na na-deal mo na because of a different item na hindi sya ang nanalo , but in any other way, And you are right, if you sell this to cool_stuff, nel will definitely give you negative feedback if di nag-push through ang transaction nyo, unless meron kang pamalit or extra item na similar? Meron akong similar experience to this case: Kami ni Beeper ang mag-kalaban sa auction sa isang video card seller name is modukon , i hope Beeper remember this Bargain yung auction nya, then bid ako, until Beeper also bid higher, so it was a daring auction fight, until umabot na sa malaki, i thought i will win, pero si Beeper talagang pursigido sa item, until such time na nagsettle down ako and i also text Albert na cge suko na ako, mahal na yung item 1800 na yata, so ok na. All the while i thought it was over, but then nagulat na lang ako knabukasan itong si modukon is very insistent selling me the item, ang sabi nya nandito daw sya sa philam sa opis namin, so nagulat ako, well in fact na alam nya na si Beeper ang nanalo, sabi ko sa kanya, i will not get your item dahil unprofessional yun and even told him that Beeper won your item. Pero talagang gusto nyang sa akin i-award, i don't know for what reason And because of that i did not even responded to his txt msges and even turn-off my cellphone kasi nagiging nuisance na sa akin yung tawag nya eh. And because of that i even received graved msg threat in the message board because of that incident from modukon. But we have to THINK BIG, Kung natuloy yung deal namin, marami ang pwedeng mangyari a) definitely Albert will give modukon a negative feedback or vice versa -LOSE - LOSE situation b) Baka mag-kasamaan kami ng loob ni Albert, definitely he will know what happen kung sa akin napunta yung item. and Definitely BIDSHOT is a small world and marami pang mga transaction na darating sa mga auctioneer. and as advice, Always Think Win-Win ;D ;D ;D Regards, Joey ;D ;D ;D

Ganun pala kaya biglang nag change mind si Modukon that night when the auction ended. But I was insistent that I won the auction for the video cards until a day or two he texted me that he's at Robinsons ERmita cguro after pagpunta sa iyo. Nagulat din ako sabi ko akala ko you won't sell na. I told him that I cannot go right there and then as its almost office time na so I suggested a day or two at same place which he agreed. Dumating rin siya as usual nauna ako dun. I quipped-'pre, akala ko di na matuloy ang deal natin and he replied na 'nagbago ang isip ko', So I mentioned that under Bidshot rules di puede magback out from the transaction dahil doing so would be disadvantage to him as he would give a bad reputation besides earning a negative feedback. Natuwa rin naman siya and he gave me a discount too for that piece of advice ;D Joey, if you remember na mentioned ni Modukon na he's got 2 video cards for sale though only 1 was posted. Cguro he intended to sell only 1 for P1,800.00 kaya nagbago ang isip niya nung gabi na yun. I must commend you JOEY for being such a Professional Bidshooter!! Ganyan talaga ang kailangan natin dito HI-PRO ang tawag ko na rin sa yo.(for Highly Professional) ;D Ok ba yan Joey??
