Hi to all, I am just curious, so i am raising up this topic. I am concern for the bogus bidders/sellers in Bidshot, i wonder how bidshot manage the security, authenticity and reality of the users who are bidding/selling in Bidshot. Here are my questions. 1. Are the cellphone no for each Bidshot user unique? If not some users may tend to create a dummy userid in Bidshot therfore creating a dummy userid for Bidding padding purposes. I don't know if these facility are already incorporated in Bidshot security system. So can we ask any representative from Bidshot to answer my query? 2. With regards to feedback, i know some incident in Bidshot where an active auctioneer create a dummy user then use that user to gain many positive feedbacks, how Bidshot handle this scenario? If you want to know him, please PM me. Regards, Joey

Hi Joeyrodil!
I'll be happy to answer your questions.
1. a. Yup! It's one mobile number PER bidshot member. b. I can't deny that people treid to creat dummy accounts for feedback. It's either we've warned them or blocked their account(s). c. Our security system checks the follwing: A. IP add upon registering B. IP add during bidding C. Mobile Number upon registering D. Mobile Number during bidding E. Selling history F. Bidding history G. Message boards H. User history I. Intuition J. .... and some more. So far, it's pretty accurate. d. We do aplogize for the sometimes lapse from time to time, as you know we do have to monitor a lot of users, bids, auctions amond others.
2. I think I know who he is. Well, let's just hope he doenst do it again.
Regards, Shotgun

shotgun,
tnx for explaining the process to us! it's good to know that you guys are thorough.
in my specific case i've had two instances in my feedbacks which have been fixed by bidshot (to my benefit) even without a request from me!
one was a neutral feedback a user gave me, which i know he meant as a positive (baka mali lang napindot nya ;D)
another was with a totally undeserved negative feedback i got from a person who is nothing less than a liar.
thanks again to the hard working people of bidshot!
