I've used 3 different ones na... 1) Palm V (super stylish pero bitin sa memory) 2) Palm Vx (more memory pero bitin naman sa kulay) 3) Palm m505 (not the brightest colored palm, but hey, its colored) Wanted to try out a Pocket PC (i.e. Ipaq) kaso in the industry i work in (Events/Concert/Theater) almost everyone uses a Palm! kaya dapat compatible

I am using a Symbol SPT 1834. It is a PALM OS powered PDA, Bar Code Scanner / Data Collector, GSM cellphone in one. Actually it's not mine (Sana naging akin na lang!). I am using it for System Development for one of our sister company. It's really cool!!!

My baby's an HP Jornada 568. I like the built-in cover and the replaceable batteries, plus the fact that cleartype works very well (I read a lot of ebooks). I also got the following accessories:
HP MMC Extended battery Targus Stowaway Keyboard HP Pocket Keyboard (the one that replaces the cover) Nokia DTL-1 Bluetooth CF Card Pretec CF Modem Xircom Ethernet CF Card CF type 1 to type 2 converter Sync n Charge USB Cable
Bad trip nga lang obsolete na ang alaga ko dala ng HP-Ipaq merger.

My first PDA was a Palm IIIx - 4MB memory monochrome, then I switched to a Palm Vx - 8MB memory monochrome because of its physical size and memory, and finally a Compaq iPAQ 3660 - 64MB colored, can store mpegs, mp3s, some games like DOOM, Quake... but I never tried to install any of those games, baka kase mag crash... hehe Windows-based pa rin kase hehe...

I dont have a PDA yet so i dont know which is better.
do you like palm PDA(palm, sony, etc) rather than pocket PCs (HP jornada, etc)? I am still confused of which one should i buy. A siemens SX45 or sony clie. I like the thought of a PDA and cell in one but clie is very tempting.

blungel:
there are a lot of things you have to consider in choosing between a Palm type PDA or a pocket PC.
1. Operating System. Palm, Visor and Clie use Palm OS, Jornadas and iPAQs use Windows CE.
2. Applications. I've just started with my iPAQ so i have to say that there are more apps on the Palm platform, but the pocket Word and pocket Excel on my iPAQ is superb. Palm apps cannot be installed on pocket PCs and vice-versa unless you have both versions of the app for both platforms.
3. Memory size. Palm Vx has 8MB memory, Palm m500 and m505 also has 8MB memory, Palm m515 has 16MB memory.
4. Battery life. Most handhelds, whether Palm or PocketPC use Lithium-Ion or Lithium Polymer rechargeable batteries. My Palm Vx's battery life goes to up to almost a month before recharging, my iPAQ's battery lasts for a day and a half.
5. Display type. The Palm m505, m515, iPAQs, and Jornadas have colred screens, its just down to the resolution. I think the newer pocket PCs have up to 64k colours.
6. Physical size. The Palms have a sleek design compared to the pocket PCs, if you wish to expand a pocket PC above 64MB you'll need an expansion pack which makes the whole package bulky.
7. Expandability. Both platforms are expandable, its just an issue of how much you'd like to expand (and spend!). The pocket PCs can have a PCMCIA expansion pack for PCMCIA modems, LAN cards, bluetooth or a Compact Flash (CF) card expansion pack for CF cards that expand your memory. Last time I heard the largest CF card is at 256MB, which costs around Php 8k!
Hope I helped you a bit Blungel (or did I confuse you some more?)

As of now using a Palm m105, my first PDA. But contemplating on getting one of those colored ones. Any suggestions for a value for money colored PDA? I use mine basically for addresses and phone numbers, and for some reminders.
I also damaged the hinge part of the flip cover, does anyone know where I can buy one? Even a used one will be fine, as long as it has no damage.
