Does anyone here use EBay to buy and sell stuff? What do you like about it?

I did last year when I bidded for a Minolta antique camera kaya lang natalo by US$2.50 at the last minute!Thought it would be all mine to keep 'coz I was then the only bidder. Learned about it the next day by email. Auction ended in the early morning hours (Manila time)as I was already sound asleep.  I bidded also for a Diamond Mako wireless modem. Got a problem with payment as PAYPAL is not available or supported locally. The seller though was kind enough to give me 1 unit (he actually got 2 with 1 already up for auction) and price for the unit would be based on the final outcome of unit currently under auction which I readily agreed. I requested a friend in the U.S. to send payment by postal money order though there was delay when I receive from the seller as airline flights were suspended in the Sept.11 bombing aftermath. Many items at ebay auction are really CHEAP though one should abide by the rule of "caveat emptor". Ok lang if you deal with people who are honest but sometimes you can never tell - as you may end up the loser. Marami rin items not available locally and for business minded ppl jackpot ka sa profits if you have these for sale here at Bidshot!  ;D 8) |

I've bought about 6 things on EBay. Some stuff for the office like routers and software while others were car stuff for myself.
OO nga sayang walang Paypal dito. Okay sana if you've got a US registered credit card. Payments that I've tried are EBay payments since they can charge PH issued cards, money order and bank transfer. So far, I havent had a bad experience, but there was this seller who was avoiding me and shipped an item late.
Galing talaga ng EBay. I've won stuff that are 1/3 the price of local goods. Beeper, have you tried selling? I want to try it out pero limitation natin would be the shipping and payment options.

lam mo naman tayo mga pinoy always looking for a bargain!
would really appreciate tips from you guys on what to look for or what to avoid. TNX

Hey 10man! Look for EBay power sellers of EBay stores. They've got icons beside their feedback. Postive feedback is important also. Kung konit lang feedback nila, it's good to email them first, to get to know them better.... sellers with low feedback are usually polite and are excited in selling (parang ako).
Before bidding, always ask if they ship to Manila. they sometimes say na US lang pero they make exeptions. Email them on the payment options, shipping charges and other transactions FIRST before bidding.
So far mababait pa naman yung mga nakausap kong sellers. Hope you find good bargains!

i try it before last year, but sad to say it did not push through, the seller back-out and changed his mind to deliver the items here in Manila.
It was sad though that will be my 1st transaction sana in ebay, its a good thing meron ditong Bidshot and Ebili, but my 1st transaction in auction was done in PinoyAuction locally just also last year before Bidshot.

Could u share with us? dati pa yun sir,naka 30 transactions ako frm ebay.mostly nga digicam stuffs .kaso lang my wife cancelled the account.nde na daw kasi business ang ginagawa ko sa ebay...SHOPPING daw for my own interest. .all of the items i got frm ebay are bnew/mint conditon.nde ako kumukuha ng REFURBISHED.sa ngayon walmart at circuitcity na lang ako nagpapabili ng things frm my wife..pagdating ko dun..pababahain ko ng NICE THINGS ang bidshot.shoulder nyo nga lang ang shipmet  |

We payed thru creditcard/money order/personal cheques. havent tried paypal..daming hassles.kung pano ko binabayaran ay lets remain it as a secret..baka daigin nyo pa ako sa pag market sa bidshot ;D NOTE: ITEMS arrived here in manila using EMS.(mas cheap)rather than DHL/FEDEX..3 days lang..door 2 door pa |

i've bought several ps2 games from ebay. so far ok naman. paid through credit card, then shipped via USPS Global Priority Mail (9 dollars). shipping times range from 7 days to 10 days.
